Atmospheric Disturbances
.
This morning there are lightning flashes all.over the sky,
And I’m laying here in bed feeling a special natural high.
There is an almost continuous rumble of thunder out there,
And the patter of rain on the window seems to freshen the air.

Atmospheric Disturbances
.
Laying here, it feels so good to sleep in on this nice rainy day,
With a chill of fall in the air, as I pull my cover up all the way.
The sounds and feelings to my body are so very appealing,
Like I’m just floating here with that “peaceful easy” feeling.

I keep drifting in and out of dream with the rumble of thunder.
And my dreams are adding to my internal feeling of wonder.
As I walk by a cold mountain stream in a bright green meadow,
With the Brook Trout jumping high there in the stream shadows.

There are lots of furry small animals running so free out there,
And so many songbirds for me to talk to singing everywhere.
I am running and jumping along a small path by the stream,
Like I did when I was a very young man as I continue to dream.

Suddenly, there’s a very loud thunder boom that jars me awake,
And I come on back to reality for a second from the big shake.
But I let my self drift back into my great dream in a short time,
And I’m back there feeling so good in my dreamland so fine.

It seems like I have been dreaming inside a Disney movie show,
Where everything is in living color and so perfect, you know.
And I am the star of the show so very happy in my own roll.
Able to sing and dance like before the time that I grew so old.

The rain stops and the thunder storm moves on without warning,
And my dream time is now over until the next rainy morning.
I look at my phone clock as it hits 11 AM, and I feel so very fine,
I can’t wait for another rainy morning to dream another time.

I find that when I was young, I dreamed about the future times,
And now that I’m old, I dream about things I experienced so fine.
I guess this tells me I was really living a dream when I was young,
And should have enjoyed my time back then more with everyone.
