Boogers
Occasionally I throw in a poem that’s on the humorous side.
Just to keep things from getting dull as I take this little ride.
I try to keep it as truthful as possible even if it sheds bad light,
And makes me look a little crazy and perhaps not too bright.
.
Boogers
.
Every once in a while when nobody’s around, I pick a booger out,
To make sure I get it all off, I roll my fingers around and about.
This puts that little booger into a small round symmetrical ball.
I then give it a flip and send it flying looking for a place to fall.
There Is a boogie in there that’s really bothering me.
.
I always wondered what happened to all those booger balls.
Do they stick to the furniture or do they stick right on the wall.
I think in my lifetime I must have flipped about 1000 greenies.
I think some of them must have been in the shape of weenies.
.
When I was young living in a dorm room, we never had tissues,
So I rolled boogers and flipped them on the ceiling causing issues.
My roommate Rick yelled about our green textured ceiling,
But I think he flipped a few of them too sending them reeling.
.
I had a had a good friend named Gary that clogged with the Aces,
Who liked to stick cheese on his nose in public eating places,
It looked like he had a big old cheesy booger hanging on his nose,
When he called the waitress over, she just stood there and froze!
Excuse me waitress, have you got a Kleenex for this hanger?
.
Sometimes when I have a cold, I breathe through my nose.
That drys out those boogs and and they get rock hard, I suppose.
When you pull them out, some nose hair comes out with them.
And the boogers look a lot like flat crusty little hairy green men.
.
I recall one time when I had a very bad case of the swine flu,
When all of my boogers turned right into a slimy green goo.
It made me so happy when I stopped hacking those loogies,
And all of that gooey stuff turned back into nice hard boogies.
.
When I was six years old and just starting to first grade school,
There was this kid named Johnny that just looked like a fool.
He would pick out a green one sitting there in his school seat,
And then slip his finger on his mouth and that booger did eat.
Well , it’s about snack time and I’m a little hungry.
.
I know that some of you are thinking “this guy is really ugly,”
But there’s not one of you that hasn’t picked those green boogies.
I know you’ve rolled and flipped your share of them in your time.
So don’t condemn me for the truths I’ve told in this little rhyme.
Just rolling up one of those booger balls.
