Hank Williams said “Honky Tonkin'” was a fun thing to do,
As Ernest Tubb said “Pass The Booze” at the bar drinking too.
In Singletary’s “Dim Lights, Thick Smoke And Loud Loud Music,”
As Bandy sang “Here I Am Drunk Again” then he did loose it.

.
“Let’s Fall To Pieces Together” said George Strait at the Jukebox,
As Merle Haggard came through the “Swinging Doors” like a fox.
And Jones said his fine date was just “A Girl I Used To Know”,
As Joe Stampley enjoyed his “Red Wine And Blue Memories” so.
.
Faron Young sat in the corner looking up saying “Hello Walls”.
Gene Watson drank beer as “The Jukebox Played Along” in the hall.
“Hello Darlin'” was the line used by Conway Twitty to the gal,
But Wanda Jackson said it’s Okay “Because It’s You” my pal.

.
Charlie Walker tells us to “Pick Me Up On Your Way Down,”
As Ray Price feels his “Heartaches By The Number” and frowns.
A “Borrowed Angel” sits on Mel Street’s lap on the bar stool.
Jerry Lee Lewis left saying “Another Place, Another Time” so cool.
.
.
.
Norma Jean is in the corner kissing saying “Let’s Go All The Way”
Loretta Lynn says “You Ain’t Woman Enough To Take My Man” today.
Then Mickey Gilley heads out of the honky tonk into the “City Lights.”
And Vern Gosdin buys yelling “Set Em Up Joe” at the bar tonight.
.
.
.
.
Travis Tritt is bragging about being a member of the “Country Club.”
While Patsy Cline is mixed up thinking am I “Crazy” to be in this pub.
John Anderson is whining to his girlfriend about “Your Lyin’ Blue Eyes”
And Gary Stewart staggers saying that it’s a “Drinkin’ Thing” and cries.
.
.
.
As the bar starts to close, Hank Thompson orders a “Six Pack To Go”,
And Bob Wills sees the last of the “Bubbles In My Beer” rising so slow.
Patty Loveless plays one last good jukebox song,”The Next In Line”
Then Willie Nelson says turn out the lights,”The Party’s Over” this time.
.
.
.
In the verses above, I have given some of the best classic songs,
For the raw honky tonk music lover to enjoy for so very long.
You can set them up on a playlist on your current music device,
And they will grow on you and perhaps make you feel so nice.
