Hit Bottom

We finally hit the bottom in our old “trunk of plenty,”
Which left a taste in our mouths so fresh and minty.
As many old memories were refreshed from our past,

There really was a lot of stuff in that old trunk of ours,
We keep on pulling stuff out with not too much power.

We dug down another layer in the trunk this afternoon,
And uncovered things that filled us with joy so soon,
This may be the best layer we have found to date,
If we hit the bottom tommorrow, it’s a time I will hate.
