1976 And 1977

In 1976 and 1977, we lived in Fritch on Arroyo Verde,
We had contact with a our family both quiet and wordy.
I guess you could say we saw a lot of our close kin,
While having a good time back then with all of them.

In 1976, we spent two weeks at South Fork, Colorado,
We went to Fun Valley square dancing the do- si-do.
We ran into Rick and Charlene there at the dance,
And spend time enjoying their company our fun to enhance.

In 1976, Kristi and I planted a garden out in the back yard.
We planned, dug grass, planted, and worked hard.
The results were a garden with fresh veggies galore,
What fun we had growing fresh food not from the store.

In 1976, to Six Flags Over Texas, we took a fun trip.
With Darena and Robert and their two boys so hip.
Kristi loved the day there, but she ran out of gas there,
And slept through the Don Williams show, I swear.

We came to Bartlesville sometimes with my job back then.
We stopped in to see JerrylDine and Pete as a trend.
Their youngest daughter, Deborah, and her family,
Still live in the home in our 1977 pics out in the country.

In 1977, we had big fish fries at home for all to like.
We had family over for that deep fried Wall Eye Pike,
About once per month, as we caught a lot of them.
After dinner, we played card games having fun then.

In 1976 and 1977, we had Kristi in all kind of activities,
We had her in tap dance, and ballet too, you see.
She was in baton twirling and beauty pageants too.
We had her doing a lot for a 2 to 3 year old to do.

So now you’ve had a short tour of some things we did,
During the bicentennial holiday year and 1977 so bad.
It was a busy time for us as we tried to do all we could,
Loving our lives and all the family like we should.
PS: I thought about renaming this blog “Kristi” after labeling the pictures.
