Odds And Ends

Odds And Ends

.

I noticed as I’ve gone through our picture albums many times,
That in the back of many albums are odds and ends so fine.
These pictures came in over years from relatives and friends,
And got stuck there in the back to save them until our end.

.

I had to get Pam to help me remember some faces there in,
As I gathered a few of them to put in this Hawg blog again,
To thank everyone who sent them over the years to us then,
And remember once more those who took time to send them.

Odds And Ends

.

We received pictures in mail, in Christmas cards, and by hand,
Some of them were put on the refrigerator as they did land.
I did a blog called “Refrigerator Photo Gallery” just a while back,
But this batch got put in the back of old albums on the book rack.

Paulette and Spencer in a Christmas card we received in 2006.

.

The first batch are group family pictures from family and friends,
Received over a period of years from recently to way back then.
I had forgotten about some of them until I pulled them out again.
It was refreshing to see some of the younger faces looking thin.

Top Left: Craig (my brother) and Rhonda with family in 1989.

Top Right: Otho (Pam’s brother) and Darlene with family in 1973.

Center Left: Ron and Jannel ( Pam’s  cousin) with their family in 1988.

Center Right: Robert and Angela with their family a few years back.

Bottom Left: Ken ( Bill’s old boss) and Donna with part of their family in 1997.

Bottom Right: Mark and Kerry with their family about 1999. (Pam was Nanny to the children for two years.)

There were individual pictures of Rhonda and Craig’s children,
That were very good pictures just as I had remembered them.
Elizabeth was 12, Chris was 10, and Nicholas was almost 2,
I believe these pictures were taken about 1985 as they grew.

.

The next three were separate individual pictures of children,
The first is Jeremy who later became a Navy Seal back then,
Then DeAnna Crumrine, Tamara’s Odessa friend back in 1982,
Finally, there was photo of Erin, Tamara’s Bartlesville buddy too.

.

I found a couple of pictures of little tiny newborn babies there,
The first was Holly Diane who was reported to be three days old.
The next was Chelese Elizabeth at the ripe old age of three days,
How cute are these two young ladies as in their bed they do lay.

.

There was a picture of Billy Don in first grade in the year 1973,
And 20 years later we got a picture of his son in 1993, you see.
Dillan Cody was 11 months old in his painting hat looking great,
I guess the early picture was about 50 years ago from this date.

.

There were pictures of two beautiful young ladies I did find,
Both out in the great outdoors leaning on wood of some kind.
Cory was smiling big standing right next to a big old oak tree,
As Dawn, our fine babysitter, leans back on a fence with glee.

.

We got pictures from many of our friends in the mail over time,
The first is Jaylynn and Mckenin sitting down looking so very fine,
Alicia, Jennifer, and Justin are next, we clogged with a while ago,
Mason, Tara, and Lauren are in the wild with a dog they love so.

.

Finally, I found pictures of clogging friends from a long while ago,
Danny and Jeanie in purple were our first clogging instructors.
Ken and Lisa were our partners with the Trailblazers for a while,
Until we broke away and started the “Rhythm Aces” our own style.

.

I enjoyed pulling these pictures and putting them in digital form,
As it brought back more old memories that were above the norm.
I had actually forgotten some of these old pictures even existed,
So it was a very good exercise even though at first I had resisted.
