June Toons Too

June Toons Too

Here’s a few more June Toons that popped out in a flash,
From some memory from my mind’s memory stash.
Perhaps they will stimulate some old memories from you,
As you take a peek at the guys lingering inside me too.

June Toons Too

The first toon is Lee Chan who works in rice fields,
Near Pleiku, Vietnam, with a very large rice crop yield,
Some of these guys worked at night too as Viet Cong.
Dealing misery to American Troops there for so long.

Hans Yodel is the next toon from high in the Swiss Alps,
With his mountain horn he uses to call for some help,
He stands tall looking just as proud as he can possibly be,
With a bright red feather in his cap for all of us to see.

The next toon is Bob O’leary with deep Irish roots,
Who may be just a bit tipsy as along he does scoot.
He has a bottle of fine Irish Whiskey ready to drink,
As he waits for Irish buddies while he smokes and thinks.

Sir Ben is the next toon all dressed in that fine armor,
A knight of the Round Table ready to fight and more,
To serve his King and country ready to give his life,
To keep those he serves out of that serious strife.

The next toon is Tod Sloan, a jockey for horse rides.
With a small whip to sting the horse on the back side,
To keep the horse running at his very fastest pace,
Wanting very badly to come in first in the horse race.

Warty is a toon of a guy I knew in the Texas Panhandle,
With a hairy wart on his nose called Rocking Randall,
He surely loved to catch and play with collared lizards,
And dearly loved to eat those yummy chicken gizzards.

Ray Price is a toon of a guy that just loves to gamble,
He loves those bright colored clothes as around he rambles,
Sometimes singing an old song or two “for the good times,”
Wearing thunder bolt boots as he sings those old rhymes.

Leroy Gibbs is up next with that special look in his eye,
Saying I will hurt you if you tell anyone you saw this guy,
Walking this little boy dog out here on this old street,
So either keep quiet or you’ll find yourself on your seat.

Up next is Thunder Bolt with his big “slicer” sword,
He is a hero at heart but he’s not ‘super’ or bored,
With that painted motorcycle bolt helmet he wears,
As through the city he roams, eliminating all our fears.

The next toon is Griz Adams with his cool coon skin hat,
Looking like a mountain man who knows where he’s at.
This guy looks a bit like the initial Hawg Jaw Bill,
From more recent memories from my mind, I do feel.

The last of his crop is Billy Bob with a gold handled cane,
And his light gray Stetson to keep off the hard rain.
As he puffs on that cancer stick ruining his health,
That will eat up his money diminishing his wealth
