Hawg Jaw Stew

Today, we had a nasty ice storm here all the day through,
So I whipped up a pot of that wonderful Hawg Jaw Stew.
That warm stew was so very good my mind it blew,
So I thought I would share my stew recipe with you.

Hawg Jaw Stew

.

This stew recipe requires a pressure cooker so hot,
So if you don’t have one, read no further and stop.
Too bad because you will see how easy and quick
This Hawg Jaw Stew is to make, delicious and thick.

To a 2 quart pressure cooker, add I teaspoon olive oil,
Spread it around on the bottom without much toil.
Add 1 pound of lean stew meat and brown on high heat,
Until the pink is gone stirring with a nice steady beat.

Add one can of petite cut diced tomatoes to the pot,
And a can of whole kernel sweet corn with juice it has got.
Add one tablespoon salt and one of beef bullion granules.
Then stir all that stuff together to a nicely mixed pool.

Add one half sack of fresh baby carrots there on top.
Drop in 1/2 onion cut into eight chunks with a plop.
Add one large potato cut in 1 inch chunks in there too.
Just four more ingredients and we will then be through.

Add one can of green beans with juice in there next.
And one can of sweet peas and juice to the complex.
Spread 1 teaspoon course ground pepper over the top,
Then mix it all together for a nice homogenous pot.

Add water to bring the level to 1 inch from the top.
Then put the top on the pressure cooker with a pop.
Set the pressure weight on top and it is sealed in
Leave the heat on high as the pressure cooking begins.

When the top weight begins to rattle, turn down the heat,
Just one notch so the weight will not blow off in the street.
From this point rattle for exactly 7 minutes then pull pot,
Off the heat and let it cool until the pressure has dropped.

When the relief valve drops down, carefully pull weight,
Open that lid and smell that burst of aroma so great.
Grab a bowl and dig into that mouth watering stew,
With stew meat so tender it will really amaze you.

Hawg Jaw Stew

1 teaspoon course ground pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon beef bullion granules
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 pound lean stew meat
1 can Green Giant whole kernel sweet corn
1 can Green Giant cut green beans
1 can petite cut diced tomatoes
1 can sweet peas
1 large potato cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 large onion cut in 8 chunks
1/2 of small sack of fresh baby carrots
1/2 cup water,

Pam always whips up Jiffy corn muffins just right,
That taste excellent so hot, fluffy, and very light.
Hawg Jaw Stew and light corn muffins is hard to beat.
It’s about supper time now, so I’ll stop now and eat.
