Bigheads For Sure

.

I am still drawing a few Bighead toons along my way,
To calm my nerves during the late night of my day.
As I put what ever pops into my mind from old memories,
Onto my drawing pad in ink and color them for all to see.

.

“Dr Bob Franks” is the first Bighead Toon of this batch,
Sarah and Ben helped me along as this one did hatch.
Sarah wanted to call him Bob and Ben called him Frank,
So we settled on Bob Franks as we put him in the ranks.

.

“Roger” is a guy I knew from work who golfed a lot,
Who got out on the golf course every chance he got,
To beat that little white ball around with a big club,
To get it to drop in a hole without too many flubs.

.

“Sam” is a Yankee soldier from the U. S. Civil war,
Preparing for hand to hand combat ready to gore,
A Confederate soldier with his very long rifle bayonet,
Fighting for his life in that awful war we will not forget.

.

“Tod” is a man I watched out at a Texas rodeo long ago,
Bull dogging a bull trying to get him down with a throw,
Then tie three of his legs together to hold him on down,
In minimum time so he can’t get up off of the ground.

.

“Mr Pickle Head” is a toon my grandson, Ben, did draw,
As he wanted to try his hand at drawing like Hawg Jaw.
He did a terrific job and I was so very proud of him,
And Sarah then colored him up looking like a real gem.

.

“Audie” is a World War ll soldier who was a real hero,
Carrying a Thompson Machine Gun there on the go.
I once saw a good movie about heroic things he did do.
That earned him the Metal Of Honor, a hero so true.

.

“Rusky” is a Russian man from the Russian Federation,
Defrosting pipes outside his home in a cold nation.
Not looking too happy about being out in the cold,
Instead of being inside by the fire warming his toes.

.

“Huggy Bear” is a character I once saw on Miami Vice,
Who always wore a funky hat that looked kind of nice,
I developed a teddy bear version of him on my pad,
Eating an ice cream on a stick looking kind of glad.

.

“Rumbo” is a pirate on an old ship looking very mean,
With his sword ready to fight other pirates he has seen.
Yelling “Shiver Me Timbers” shocked by the attack,
By his old pirate buddies he ran with way on back.

.

“Popeye” is a character getting strength from spinach,
Before he became a navy sailor after he got the itch.
He has just spotted Olive Oyl walking down the street,
Not believing his eyes as she looked so very sweet.
